Class Observation

The class started with a presentation of the lesson. A slide was presented on the board.
It helped students to encounter with the target language, "It's my family".

Before starting with the introductory part of the class, teachers invited students to sing the "how are you today" song.

This was great because all of them recognize the lyric when they heard the rythm.

Task 1: Presenting the target language.

Students could acquire the target language in a dynamic way. They look at the pictures and do some movements. When they look at the car, they applauded; when the look at the ball, they jumped; when they look at the bed, they sat down on the floor (curled up on the floor). As we can see in the video.
This task helped to recognize the vocabulary just by looking at them and listening as well.

Task 2: Encountering with the target language by using a Power Point Presentation.

Technology catches the interest and motivation over children. The use of this resource successfully makes this task an success. When the teacher was asking: Who's this? Students responded successfully even Nicole participated in this task. Let's see in the following video.

Task 3: Practicing the target language.

Student got in trios, this made students work as a team. In addition, this helped each others and participated all of the members of the group. Nicole, could achieve the goal of this task. Let's see in the following video.

Task 4: Remembering the target of language.

The rythm of the class stopped in here. Not all the students could participate because of the extense group. However, I noted that Nicole could observe what her classmates were doing. I consider this happened because she wanted to be part of the environment in which she is.

Task 5: Identifying the target language by practicing the spelling of the words.

This helped students to identify the word in a crossword by practicing the spelling. All of them participated, in fact, they were very enthusiasm doing this activity.

Task 6: Producing the own version of the their family by using puppets.

This activity was successfully done; all of them were interested in doing their own family. This activity aimed at waking up the creativity in students.
Icould observe how excited Nicole was.

Even, she looked at the teachers with a huge smile. I noticed that she was finally learning to be connected with the environment.

I really liked this connectiveness!

Let's see the following video and the result at the end.

Nicole's Family!
